Visiongain has launched a completely new 300 page automotive report Automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Market Report 2018-2028 : Forecasts By Application (ACC, AEB, AFL, BSM, DMS, FCW, HUD, ISA, LDW, NVS, PDS, PA, RSR, SVC) By Sensor (Radar (SRR-MRR, LRR), Camera, IR, Lidar, Ultrasonic) Plus Analysis Of Top Companies & The Evolution Towards Autonomous Vehicles (AV), Self-Driving & Driverless Cars
Automotive ADAS use innovative and advanced software solutions and sophisticated electronics coupled with an array of sensors to improve the safety of drivers and passengers, other vehicles and pedestrians, monitor driver health and enhance the driving experience in a significant manner.
Around 90% of accidents are due to human error. Integration of ADAS systems in the vehicles tries to minimize the imperfect driving behaviour of fallible human beings. As such, ADAS systems encompass the technological ‘roadmap’ towards partially and fully autonomous vehicles.
The visiongain report analyst commented “The appetite for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) will grow over the forecasting period, owing to the increasing government regulations and consumer awareness across the globe. Developed regions have certain regulations such as Europe and US NCAP mandates, that compels new cars to be equipped with Autonomous Emergency Breaking (AEB) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) systems.
Despite the fact that ADAS applications are at the early implementation stage they will enter the exponential growth phase from 2018 onwards, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and their suppliers understand that ADAS features can become the main differentiating factor among automotive companies. Many of the most promising ADAS applications are still being refined or have not yet hit the global automotive market; and others are expensive and mostly available in premium cars.
Technologies used for ADAS applications can and are used to develop autonomous (driverless) cars. It is a major focus of the R&D at the moment for both OEMs and tech companies that have recently penetrated the automotive market.
Although semiconductor companies and other players have made important enhancements in recent years, there is much room for improvement. A lot of semiconductor companies, which have previously not participated in the automotive industry, now develop or have started offering ADAS applications or sensors. As with any new technology, a considerable amount of market uncertainty remains, especially how end-users will respond to the advanced computer controls/assist with steering and reaction to critical situation. However, the implementation rate and overall ADAS market prospects are following an inexorable upward trajectory.”
Leading companies featured in the report who are developing ADAS technologies include leading automotive OEMs BMW AG, Daimler AG, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Group, Ford Motor Company, General Motors (GM), Honda Motor Company, Hyundai Motor Group, Nissan Motor Co., PSA Peugeot Citroen, Renault, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Toyota Motor Company, Volkswagen Group, Volvo Group and leading Automotive ADAS suppliers Aisin Seiki Co., Autoliv AB, Bosch Company, Continental AG, Delphi Automotive, Denso Corporation, Gentex Corporation, Harman International, Hella KGaA Hueck & Co, Hyundai Mobis, Magna International, NXP Semiconductors, Panasonic Corporation, Takata Corporation, Tech Mahindra, Texas Instruments, Valeo S.A Corporation and ZF Group Notes for Editors If you are interested in a more detailed overview of this report, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or call her on +44 (0) 207 336 6100 About visiongain Visiongain is one of the fastest-growing and most innovative independent media companies in Europe.
