Visiongain has published a new report on Penoxsulam Market Report to 2031: Forecasts by Product Type (Concentrated liquid and Granules), Crop (Rice, Aquatic Plant, and Others), Application (Agrochemical, Fertilizer, Pharmaceutical, Food Additive, Biochemical, and Others) PLUS COVID-19 Impact Analysis and Recovery Pattern Analysis (V-shaped, W-shaped, U-shaped, L-shaped) Profiles of Leading Companies, Region and Country.

Visiongain has estimated that the total market for Penoxsulam would be around $x million in 2020 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of x% during the forecast period 2021-2031. A systemic herbicide called acetolactate synthase (ALS) is a penoxsulam that moves across the tissue of plants, preventing plants from generating the necessary enzyme, which is not found in animals. Susceptible plants will stop growing at the tips of the plant soon after treatment. Death and decay of plants will occur over several weeks to months progressively. Penoxsulam should be applied to active plants; mature plants need a higher herbicide concentration and a longer time of contact. For approximately 60 days, penoxsulam has to stay on plant contact. In order to maintain the herbicide concentration during the required contact time , additional "bump" treatment may be necessary. Penoxsulam may be used in larger or entire lake treatments due to this long contact period and should not be used when quick dilution may occur, for example, on the spot or moving water.

Is Penoxsulam a systemic herbicide?
Penoxsulam is mainly a systemic herbicide that interrupts weed growth internally and thereby kills weeds. This is used to control the development in transplanted water seed and dry seeded rice of large leafs, grazing weeds and sedge. In addition, penoxsulam can also be used in sporting fields, golf courses, sod farms and residential and commercial lawns in a variety of broad leaf weeds. It's also a registered herbicide used in aquatic weed management in the United States. The company SePRO sells it under the Galleon brand name.

Main driver of penoxsulam is the growing demand worldwide for rice
The global rice market, being a major food almost worldwide, has benefited from the constant increase of urban population over recent years and is expected in the coming years to continue as a major driver for the global penoxsulam market. Another important driver for the world market for penoxsula in the coming years is probably the increased demand for well-maintained paddling areas in both residential and industrial buildings. Also the worldwide penoxsulam market will benefit from the rising sports stadiums and increasing maintenance costs.

Penoxsulam herbicide is marketed under a number of brands
Dow AgroSciences, an affiliate of The Dow Chemical Company, produces penoxsulam, one of the active ingredients of a sulphonamide-based herbicide. Penoxsulam herbicide is marketed under a number of brands, including SC Granite and Granite, and used for rice cultivation in the United States. Penoxsulam is also sold under a variety of brands such as Viper in Europe, Ricer in Brazil and Argentina, Fencer in China, Rainbow in Egypt, Clipper in Vietnam and Indonesia in other countries. Off-white solid with a musty odour is penoxsulam. In water and acetonitrile it is soluble. Initially, the herbicide has been introduced for rice and can kill a wide array of weeds and grasses found in wet environments.

In North America, the demand for penoxsulam, due to the growth of its agriculture, has been exceptionally high
North America, Europe , Asia Pacific and the rest of the world are the key regions on the global penoxsulam market. In North America, the demand for penoxsulam, due to the growth of its agriculture, has been exceptionally high. There is a great deal of pressure in the region to increase return, while the total area to farm is reduced. In terms of the total demand volume for penoxsulam, Asia Pacific is following North America. In Asia Pacific in particular emerging countries , such as India-the fast growing agricultural sector is likely to increase global players in the penoxsulam market during the predicted period. Furthermore, growth in construction activity and an increasing number of turf is expected to drive demand for penoxsulam in the next few years in India, China and Indonesia
