This followed Gilead's USD 11.9 billion acquisition of Kite Pharma, gaining access to their CART cell therapy Yescarta, which has now been marketed.
North America holds majority of market share followed by Europe and will continue to dominate in the future due to growing number of research projects in the region, coupled with funding for research institutes from the government. The Chinese FDA approved the clinical trial application of the company in March, making LCAR-B38 M the first cell therapy in China to enter clinical trials.
