Visiongain’s new report the Collision Avoidance Sensors Market Report 2020-2030: Forecasts By Technology (Radar, Camera, Ultrasound, LiDAR), By Application {Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Others}, by Region (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East & Africa) and profiling of leading international and domestic companies.

The global market volume for collision avoidance sensors was estimated at over USD 6 billion in 2019 and is projected to show a CAGR of over 23 percent between 2020 and 2030. The industry has seen strong growth over the past few years as a result of growing advances in lens, LiDAR, radar, and ultrasound technology. Most luxury car makers are required to implement these sensors on a large scale, making them an integral part of the active safety systems kit of a vehicle.

Increased sales of sports utility vehicles (SUVs), utility vehicles, and premium high-end vehicles are projected to be a major market growth factor. Some of the major automotive manufacturers have already started to incorporate simple collision avoidance systems into their product offerings on the mass market. Toyota Motor Company, for example, incorporated advanced technologies in its 2015 vehicles such as auto-parking, pre-crash braking system, automotive communication system, and auto-adjust headlamp.

It is expected that the adoption and integration of collision avoidance sensors in passenger and commercial vehicles will result in a reduction in road accidents while providing vehicle occupants with increased protection. It is also expected that strict government policies and regulations related to the implementation of vehicle safety systems will be an important market growth factor.

Increased consumer awareness, increased emphasis on car manufacturers ' research and development, and regulatory bodies ' revised safety ratings have also guided market growth. For example, the U.S. to stop and/or reduce the severity of collisions in January 2015. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the introduction to its New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) of automatic emergency braking systems.

The market for collision avoidance sensors is driven by increased sales of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), such as blind spot detection, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and parking assistance system. A combination of vision-based and ultrasound anti-collision sensors is used by vehicles with parking assistance systems. Mercedes-Benz, BMW Audi, and Infiniti vehicles, for example, have parking assistance packages composed of digital cameras and ultrasonic sensors for surround vision.
