Visiongain’s new report indicates that the global thermal EOR market will see $17.8bn in spending in 2016.
The global thermal EOR market is anticipated to continue expanding over the next decade, driven by tightening oil supply and increasing demand. Enhanced oil recovery techniques serve to lengthen the lifecycle of mature oil fields, which account for around 70% of global oil production.
The lead analyst of the report said: “With increasing global energy demand, ageing oil fields and a dearth of conventional oil finds, enhanced oil recovery techniques are set to play an increasingly important role in the global oil industry over the coming decade. Oil price uncertainty takes its toll on new thermal EOR investments; however, their resilience is strengthened by the fact that thermal EOR methods are no longer confined to a few select countries, with companies throughout the world beginning to implement projects to make the most of their existing reserves.”
The 173 page report contains 137 tables, charts and graphs that add visual analysis in order to explain developing trends within the thermal EOR market. Visiongain provides annual production, capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) forecasts for the period 2016-2026 for the global market, as well as forecasts and analysis for the five main submarkets: the Canadian oil sands, thermal heavy oil, steam injection, SAGD and other EOR technologies. The report also includes market and submarket forecasts and analysis for ten leading national markets, as well as individualised outlooks for six additional smaller markets.
In addition, the report contains a dedicated leading companies’ chapter including extensive profiles, rankings and market share data for the major oil sands and thermal heavy oil companies, as well as the transcript of an original interview with GlassPoint Solar.
The Thermal Enhanced Oil Recovery Market 2016-2026: CAPEX & OPEX ($bn) & Production(bpd) Forecasts For Oil Sands, Heavy Oil, Steam Injection, SAGD & Other Technologies report will be of value to anyone who wants to better understand the thermal EOR market and its dynamics.
