Visiongain’s new report the China Antiscalants Market Report 2020-2030: Forecasts by Type (Carboxylates, Phosphonates, Sulfonates, Fluorides), By Application (Coal Gasification, Chemical, Power), and analysis of leading companies operating in this industry. The rise in offshore oil and gas installations in China, accompanied by enhanced coal-fired power generation, is increasing antiscalant demand. Antiscalants are preferred to acids because they inhibit almost all kinds of scales such as colloids and metal oxides created from fluorides, sulphates, calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate.

Antiscalant is a chemical that is injected into the water of the feed before the water enters the system. The chemical delays the time of response between bicarbonate and calcium magnesium, thus controlling scale formation. Because of their superior antiscalant characteristics, carbonates, phosphates, sulfates and fluorides are the main products used in multiple water treatment apps.

Because of comprehensive product use in the oil and gas industry, China is the biggest producer and consumer of antiscalants. Over the next few years, the expansion of multiple application industries such as energy and coal gasification will boost industry development.

Investment in the development of fresh water treatment goods and technology, such as batch sequencing reactors and oxidation ditch, will stay a critical factor in the forecast period for market growth. Increasing penetration in scaling and membrane systems of phosphonate-based products over the previous few years will have a beneficial effect on the development of the market for wastewater treatment.

Rapid urbanization and increasing industrialization has led to an enhanced need for energy and cost-effective clean water supply alternatives. This will further drive product demand as antiscalants serve as a cost-effective alternative for wastewater treatments and crops for coal gasification.

During the forecast period, the section of phosphonates will account for a substantial share as it is frequently used for formulations for water treatment using corrosion and scale inhibitors as well as iron sequestrate. Phosphonates provide efficacy by mixing distinct features in one molecule at low levels. These are also used in the production of bleaching agents as a stabilizer. Hydrogen peroxide and mercury oxidize phosphonate antiscalants. Higher phosphonate oxidation results from the cooperation of phosphonate with dissolved calcium ions.
